The Democratic Initiatives Incubator invites you to take part in the online meeting “Specifics of Organizing and Conducting Educational Activities, Taking into Account the Needs of Forced Migrants”. The event is held for people from the Eastern Partnership countries interested in this topic. The working language is English.

Who are we inviting?
All people interested in the topic, and especially those who work in the field of civic education.
Why?

– what makes forced migrants a separate target audience in educational programs;
– why it is important to work with forced migrants and how this work contributes to the establishment of equality;
– what is important to consider when planning and conducting educational activities for forced migrants;
– examples of the best practices in educational activities for forced migrants.
- You will get to know colleagues in the Eastern Partnership countries.
- You will receive a certificate confirming your participation.
Who host?
Speaker – Valeriia Vershynina, Director of Legal Affairs at Charity Foundation Stabilization Support Services. She has been working in the civil sector since 2008. She attended intensive courses on the integration of IDPs and migrants in Germany (2018), Italy (2018) and Latvia (2019). In 2019-2020, successfully implemented in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions a pilot project on the creation of Internally Displaced Persons Councils under the authorities, which subsequently received nationwide support, and measures to create Councils of IDPs were included in the Strategy approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine integration of internally displaced persons and implementation of medium-term solutions on internal displacement for the period until 2024.
